The Atacama Desert is one of the most arid places in the world. During the early autumn, humidity from the sea gets trapped between the coast and the desert and becomes fog. When weather conditions allow, the fog goes over the edge of the coastal range and disappears very rapidly and almost choreographically, but doesn’t break into rain.
Only the Fog Collector, a structure that holds 1 square meter of double Raschel mesh, can collect this precious water.
In this incredible environment, my camera was looking for the relationship between the landscape and the dancing fog.
